San Ramon, CA, January 11, 2011 — Eggsploitation has been nominated for Best Documentary in the 2011 California Independent Film Festival Slate Awards. The 13th annual California Independent Film Festival opens January 28, 2011 at the New Rheem Theatre in Moraga, CA, and runs through February 3. Eggsploitation is scheduled to show Tuesday, February 1 at 6:15PM in the Zemrak Theatre.
Jennifer Lahl, President of the Center for Bioethics and Culture Network and writer, director, and producer of Eggsploitation said, “We are thrilled with the news that our film is being considered for such an award, especially because it will draw more attention to the issue of egg donation and the health risks to young women. California is often referred to as the ’reproductive tourist capital of the world‘ and it is fitting that the film will be shown in the California Independent Film Festival.”
