Today Jennifer turns 60.
She has worked tirelessly since she founded The Center for Bioethics and Culture 18 years ago. It’s not just a matter that the CBC wouldn’t be what it is without her—the CBC would not even exist if not for Jennifer, her idea to launch a bioethics center, and her hard work to bring it to life and to sustain it.
Of course, none of what she’s done would be possible without the generous and faithful support of so many people, which is testimony to Jennifer’s ability to cast a vision, gather people around that vision, and push it forward. I know first hand how deeply grateful she is for each and every gift and each and every giver.
As a way of saying Happy Birthday and of showing your support for all of Jennifer’s ongoing work toward the cause of our shared human future, I’m asking you to join me in making a donation of $60 toward the work of The Center for Bioethics and Culture.
If you’re unable to give that much, perhaps you could give $6 or $16. Or maybe you’re able to give $600 or even $6,000. At whatever level you’re able, let’s celebrate Jennifer!
PS: As you probably know, Jennifer is also a Registered Nurse. How fitting that her 60th birthday falls during Nurse Appreciation Week. One more reason to celebrate her!
