Congratulations to Dr. Jennifer Schneider, Wendy Kramer, and our own Jennifer Lahl. They’ve just received word that their paper, “Long-Term Breast Cancer Risk Following Ovarian Stimulation in Young Egg Donors: A Call for Follow-up, Research, and Informed Consent” has been accepted for publication in the journal Reproductive BioMedicine Online.
As those of you who follow our work know, research and follow-up are sorely lacking when it comes to the practice of egg donation. And this makes truly informed consent simply impossible.
I will link to the abstract and article once they become available online.
Kudos to these three for doing the hard work of bringing the many problems with egg donation to light not only in the public consciousness but now also in the academic literature.
