I just hate to talk about money in my blog because I get spam emails from bogus investors who want to help me make millions. But this is (as my kids say) too ‘choice’ to go unnoticed. In today’s Wall Street Journal, Ronald Bailey reports that last year the National Institutes of Health spent $24.3 million on embryonic stem cell research! In addition there is $4 billion (BILLION) in private and state monies committed to stem cell research for the next ten years. Unbelievable! That is a lot of dough for hyped up embryo research. And since we don’t have a money tree, it makes me wonder what we aren’t funding so that we can turn the fire hose on this smoke screen.
